Protect Your Peace – A Simple Reiki Practice to Restore Balance In a world that constantly demands your attention, protecting your peace is an act of self-care. Reiki offers a simple yet profound way to maintain balance and harmony in your daily life. One of the easiest ways to integrate Reiki into your routine is through a grounding energy practice. Here’s a quick and effective method you can try:


Join us and follow along as Sarah Pulley, Reiki Tutor at the Cotswold Academy, talks us through a beautiful, energy cleansing practice known as a Reiki Shower:



Reiki Shower Practice:

  • Find a Quiet Space – Stand comfortably with your feet flat on the ground and close your eyes.
  • Raise your hands to the sky and visualise a warm, white, glowing light between them. Breathe and Release – Take slow, deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling a cleansing breath through the mouth. Focus on feeling any energy or warmth in your fingertips and palms.
  • Bring your palms down to rest just above your crown chakra. Feeling warmth and energy flowing down into your head and around the scalp.
  • Then glide your hands down pausing infront of the third eye chakra, to where the heels of the hands are resting just above the eyebrows. Again take some deep breaths here with cleansing breathes out.
  • Softly glide your hands down over your face and down to meet over the throat chakra. Now envisage the white light flowing down from the top of our crown right through to the front of the neck, back of the neck and sides. Remembering to take those deep breathes.
  • Place your hands on your heart – Allow your palms to gently rest over your heart chakra, feeling the warmth and energy flow. Take a moment to relax the shoulders and notice if you are holding any tension here. Acknowledge any feelings coming up here.
  • Glide your hands down over you solar plexus. Take a slow, deep breath, inhaling through your nose and exhaling a cleansing breath through the mouth here. Take a moment to focus on something you are truly grateful for.
  • Glide the hands over the belly button and hold them there over your sacral chakra. Take a moment to notice any tension in your body, make sure you have a soft bend in your knees.
  • Glide your hands down over you pelvic region. Take your deep breathes in and out.
  • Continue to glide your hands down your legs and then shake that energy that has accumulated back down into the earth.
  • We do Reiki Showers in sets of three so repeat this practice twice more, perhaps moving through a little faster.
