About Niki:

My name is Niki Williams MAR and I am the owner of The Zen Den. After a career in the Civil Service, as a Telecommunications Engineer and a Project Manager, I decided to follow my dreams of working in a job where I can help people.

I have always been interested in Anatomy and Physiology and after visiting the Cotswold Academy, Cirencester, I fell in love with the idea of learning reflexology. I was fortunate to receive training from an award winning tutor who has given me a passion for the subject.

I am fascinated how working the reflexes found on the feet can have a beneficial effect on balancing the body, mind and emotions. In reflexology, we treat people holistically; good health and wellbeing  is about maintaining balance in all aspects of life. These aspects include the physical, mental, social, cultural and spiritual.

I believe we should not underestimate the power of human touch. It can connect, heal, communicate, and soothe. Giving and receiving care and kindness makes a positive difference to not only our happiness, but to our recovery from injury or illness. Choosing a reflexology treatment is a safe, natural, and non-invasive way to experience these benefits.

I am excited to offer complementary therapies from my home treatment room in Pewsham, Chippenham and also at The Vitality Rooms, Chippenham. I look forward to helping clients with their health and wellbeing and enjoy working together to create personalised treatment plans. Whether you're looking to treat yourself to a relaxing reflexology treatment, or to help relieve symptoms of illness, we should find something to suit.

To find out more please take a look at my treatment pages. If you are interested in trying one of my treatments please get in touch, I'd love to hear from you!

Sports & Remedial Massage

About John:

Hot on the heels of a memorable career in Avon Fire and Rescue Service, my new passion continues my desire to interact with and help people. Now a member of FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists) I trained with the fantastic Cotswold Academy in Cirencester where I achieved an ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy in 2018 and, an ITEC Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy in 2019.

I’ve always had a passion for sport with cycling being my number one hobby. Over the years I’ve taken part in many cycling events both on and off road and I’ve also enjoyed a quick sprint around the velodrome. I played softball for ten years for Bristol team The Guppies, always first division and occasional champions. Success on and off the pitch meant hooking up with my wife of 16 years, Rebecca, another Guppies player at the time.

I’ve had a passing acquaintance with many other sports over the years including Volleyball, Squash, Badminton, Tennis, Table tennis, Skiing, Snowboarding, Cricket, Sailing, Golf, Pilates and once, when I was late for an appointment, I had a go at running.

I have first hand experience of injury and illness and I know how debilitating these can be, both physically and mentally. The links between physical activity and mental health are well known. Having received sports massage therapies myself I know that a swift return to your chosen sport or hobby can boost not just your health, but also your wellbeing.

You don’t need to be a sports person to benefit from sports massage therapy. I am trained to treat soft tissue dysfunction and diagnose some injuries. If you are getting aches and pains in muscles or even joints this may be caused by tension or damage in the muscles. Poor posture, repetitive strain, overuse and stress can all benefit from sports massage therapy.

I have supported events such as the Bath Half Marathon, the Great Weston Ride, Cheddar's Top of the Gorge festival and Bristol softball tournaments, providing pre and post event massage. It has also been a pleasure to stay in touch with my friends and colleagues from Avon Fire and Rescue and it’s my hope to continue supporting them with their charity endeavours.

Treatments are provided in my dedicated treatment room at home in Long Ashton. Please get in touch if you think there’s something I can help you with, all the best.

About Kay:

My name is Kay. After 25 years of working in the commercial world I turned to alternative therapy to help me with work related stress, and the menopause.  The impact was incredible & I soon realised I wanted to be practising in what had worked for me.  My passion took me firstly to Reiki then Reflexology.  My case studies initially focused on treating menopausal symptoms, then as a mum to 2 girls I looked at how I could work with teenagers,  especially with anxiety,  exam stress and hormonal imbalances.   I have worked with many Stroke patients, clients with debilitating Migraines, Circulation problems & more recently I have developed an understanding of sports reflexology and how to help relieve sports injury.

If you would like to understand how these treatments may work for you, please feel free to contact me and have a chat or pop in for a cuppa!

Nicola Roberts- Sports, Remedial and Oncology Massage Therapist

Contact Details:

I work at my Treatment Room, 76 Victoria Road on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

76 Victoria Road, Cirencester, GL7 1EU

Therapies Offered:

Sports Massage
Oncology Massage
Hot Stones Massage
Dry Needling
Kinesiology Taping
Myofascial Cupping
Pregnancy Massage

About Nicola:

Whilst I initially trained in sports massage, my subsequent training to use different techniques, enables me to provide a bespoke and nurturing treatment working either on a specific area or the whole body, whether you are active/inactive have cancer or have had cancer. I can provide a more therapeutic style of massage to calm mind and body, improve your immune system or focus on treating specific injuries/dysfunction using massage or dry needling techniques.

Treatments will be completely tailored to ensure your needs are met according to your stage of health, whether thats over a single session or if a longer treatment plan is required.

Massage and/or dry needling can release soft tissue tension, relieve stiffness, decrease muscle spasms, release restrictions and soften and realign scar issue and loosen up adhesions, helping to restore optimal function. By releasing tension and restrictions in soft tissue, using a range of techniques, it can help to re-establish a balance in muscle function where needed and increase mobility and flexibility, ultimately reducing stress on joints and contribute to overall physical and emotional well being.

Nicola also specialises in Oncology Massage.

Why is Oncology Massage Different?

I understand the symptoms and treatments of cancer to ensure the massage is modified according to the stage of your treatment and health on the you are wanting a massage. The approach I use for a client who has breast cancer will be very different to a client who has non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. This being in terms of the techniques I use, the areas I work on and the length of the treatment. This may change over time according to your stage of health and the goals of your treatment, which could change over time.

What to expect from your Appointment?

At the start of your first appointment, I will ask you to complete an intake form and also discuss with you the goals of your session - whether that be to relieve specific pain/discomfort/tension, to feel more relaxed or help you to sleep better. I will design the session so it is entirely bespoke to you according to how you feel on the day. The massage will not be painful, but will use firm pressure and a range of techniques. I will work for anywhere between 15-60mins, I will let your body dictate how long the session should last. If you are going through treatment and do not feel well enough to attend the appointment, I urge you to listen to your body and get in touch so that we can rearrange.

Whilst I can provide an oncology massage across both of my treatment rooms, you may find that my Treatment Room at home, on a Tuesday and Friday is more private, relaxing, quiet and potentially appropriate. However, you are welcome on any day at either location. If you are unable to travel, and you would like me to visit you at your home, in hospital or in a hospice, please get in touch via phone or email to arrange this.

Opening hours: Monday 10am-8pm, Tuesday 11am-8pm, Thursday 12pm-8pm, Saturday 12pm-6pm. Other times may be available by special request.

About Nicki:

My background is as a Registered General Nurse, with 20 years experience working mainly in the community as a District Nurse. More recently, the demands put upon the NHS meant that I was finding it increasingly difficult to actually have time to care for the patients I was seeing, as everything became very rushed in order to see a volume of patients throughout the day.

I became more and more conscious that the physical symptoms and long term conditions we were trying to treat and care for may be better resolved by looking at the person as a whole, including their lifestyle choices and their emotional well being as well as the physical symptoms that were presenting themselves.

I therefore took the step and left the NHS and retrained as a reflexologist and created The Heeling Feeling so that I can work with clients in an unrushed manner and give them the time they need for relaxation to enable the body to rebalance and start its own healing process. I have always been interested in complimentary therapies, and Reflexology in particular, since receiving many beneficial treatments myself over the years. I passionately believe that we should listen to our bodies as a whole in order to achieve overall health and wellbeing.

I studied Reflexology at the Cotswold Academy in Cirencester and am now a qualified Reflexologist with an Association of Reflexologists (AOR ) recognised level 3 diploma. The course I completed was an ITEC diploma that included an anatomy and physiology qualification and also 100 case study treatments prior to qualifying.

Being first introduced to the benefits of soft tissue manipulation on a sports injury course in the military back in 1989, I knew that it was something that I wished to pursue as a career. So, soon after leaving the Military, I set out to gain the qualifications and experience to practise, whilst still working full time.

I have gained a wealth of experience, working with private individuals, sports clubs, professional referrals, and a loyal client base, who are all of different ages, professions, and abilities. So please don’t think that only sports people can benefit from massage therapies – I treat people from all walks of life with a wide range of issues. These could be work related repetitive strain injuries to trauma/impact recovery treatments. No two client needs are the same. And treatment plans are tailored to the individual’s needs.

I have a real passion for the Industry and take great pride and satisfaction in helping support people in achieving their goals or aiding them with their recovery.

Having completed my A levels I trained and qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1986. I worked within the NHS on Critical Coronary and Intensive Care units, with stints in Accident & Emergency and a specialist Burns Unit.

In 1994 I made a change in career and trained as a Veterinary Nurse, qualifying in 1996. I spent many happy years working in Small Animal and Mixed practices initially in Manchester then in Cirencester, Malmesbury & Tetbury.

I have now lived in Tetbury for almost 20yrs with my husband Matthew.

Two years ago I decided I needed to get fit again and joined the local gym, I well and truly caught 'the bug'! It was through this new direction that I became interested in the fitness industry, in particular sports injuries and rehabilitation. This led to me studying for my level 3 & 4 Sports Massage qualifications at The Cotswold Academy.

I find all aspects of the work fascinating and rewarding, especially when you see real results leading to improved function & mobility and pain reduction for clients.

I have a particular interest in shoulder and rotator cuff injuries, conditions and dysfunctions and aim to specialise further in this area.

I am fortunate to be able to work out of a well equipped treatment room in BPF Fitness Hub, Tetbury, within easy reach of the town centre and with ample free parking.

I have been a Reflexologist and Reiki practitioner for 18 years.
I studied reflexology in London, qualifying in 1999 with Distinction.
I took the first Reiki degree in 1998 and the second in 2001.
In 2003 I travelled to Northern Thailand where I became a Reiki Master/Teacher in 2005, in both Usui Reiki and Shamballa Reiki Healing.
I did a further Usui Reiki Master level in 2015.

After six years living in Thailand, I came back to my home town, Cheltenham in 2008 and was straight away drawn to the Isbourne Holistic Centre, becoming the manager for six years. Now on the international map for visiting guest speakers and authors, the Isbourne is a wonderful place where like minded people can meet to learn, grow and share in our spiritual and holistic talks, workshops and courses. I'm still there on a consultancy basis helping with PR and running the Guest Speaker programme.

About Jo:

I discovered complimentary therapies in my twenties, seeking relaxation to manage the impact of a busy job and lifestyle in London. I remember being amazed at how something so simple helped and the deep state of relaxation I felt. Nurturing this interest I trained in Clinical Reflexology in 2004 (Level 3 Diploma with the AoR) to become a fully qualified practitioner and a Member of the Association of Reflexologists (MAR).

In the last 10 years I have been able to add to this initial training and develop my experience and treatment style in a number of ways:

  • Establishing my own clinical practice in the Cotswolds.
  • Spent a year studying the principles of Chinese Medicine through the Five Element Theory at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Warwick.
  • Undertaking a Five Element Reflexology Course at the Bath Complimentary College.
  • Completing a Diploma in Maternity Reflexology with Louise Keet (MAR), London.

I now use this formal training, along with practical and personal experience in my treatment room. The Five Element theory has been pivotal in my approach. A key tenet of this philosophy is about living in tune with nature, which has been a key motivation for providing a clinic space within a natural environment.

About Dave:

Remedial Massage:

I am fascinated by the way the human body adapts to change because of dysfunction - it is truly amazing. Stress, injury, poor posture and the strains of everyday life can take a heavy toll on our physical wellbeing. The body copes brilliantly, until, one day it doesn't any more and we feel stiff, sore, unable to move properly without pain or discomfort.

By using remedial massage therapy, together we can improve, release and resolve your pain and set you on the road to a healthier, more comfortable life.

I am qualified in Massage for Complementary Therapies (ITEC level 3), Sports Massage Therapy (ITEC level 3 & 4) - which includes Anatomy and Physiology, Principles of Health and Fitness, Subjective and Objective Assessment, Soft Tissue Repair, and Techniques to Prevent and Manage Injury. Also, I hold a BTEC level 2 First Person on Scene First Aid Certificate and am a member of The Complementary Therapists Association.

Running Fitness:

I've been running for fun and fitness for over 30 years. I have

taken part in many events from flat 5Km fun-runs, to challenging 7km/10 km/9 & 10 mile races/half marathons, off road, on road, in every season of the year; some with more success than others.

I love Running Fitness, and took a Coach qualification with England Athletics over 9 years ago, which enabled me to understand the physiology of running, nutritional balance, performance factors, focus and ability. Since then I have been involved in leading small groups, training individuals, and planning and organising small race events.

Through years of monitoring my own running experience, studying the guru's and helping others, I have discovered that running really works. It gives you health, peace and is an immense resource for happiness.

About Maggie

I have always gravitated towards the Holistic (whole body) approach to treating Health and wellbeing.

Craniosacral therapy (CST) has been especially important to me, due to its ability to listen to the bodies needs on every level.

This form of body work brings about a greater sense of awareness of the body/mind connection. Our bodies hold on to our memories, experiences and traumas at a cellular level and it’s the (being heard) that can allow us to truly let go.

I am passionate about providing a contained, safe space for my clients healing process to begin and unfold.

My cranial Work, I feel has added to my ability to be more free and intuitive when massaging. I tailor my sessions to suit my client’s needs. Whether it’s after exercise or just to relax and rejuvenate to release the stresses and strains of everyday life.

A bit about me...I started my holistic therapy business back in 2019 to promote health and wellbeing, although this was not a new area to me as I initially started a beauty and holistic business in 2006 after qualifying in the late 90s.  I have always felt strongly about holistic well-being and more so due to personal reasons.   In  2010 I started my Nursing qualifying in 2013, I worked as a Registered General Nurse but after a period of stress and anxiety I left the NHS to go back to helping people through the use of holistic therapies.  I felt a strong desire to help people going through similar mental and physical health issues and believe it is so important that we invest in self-care.

I have an upstairs treatment room in Gloucester and can discuss other options if you are not able to manage stairs.

If you feel that I can help you to release some of the everyday pressures or you just need some ‘me’ time, please feel free to contact me to see how I can help you with your health and wellbeing.   Please note that the treatments that I offer are complementary treatments and are not in place of medical treatments.

About Sarah

I've always been passionate about holistic therapies. Helping people mentally, physically and emotionally, treating the person as a whole. This gives them the power and skillset to better handle life's challenges.

I know this from past experience, when life threw me a cruel curveball, I felt so stuck for far too long. I was unable to move forward, feeling anxious, stressed and over-reacted over the smallest of things. I seeked regular holistic treatment to help overcome this. It enabled me to release all the tension and to maintain a healthy outlook once again.

This rekindled my love for holistic therapy, seeking an alternative way to manage heath and wellbeing.

With a family and job to juggle, I realised I wasn’t giving myself the time to unwind and relax, I was becoming increasingly stressed and overwhelmed with everyday life  - it was time to make a change.

My name is Julie. Thank you for visiting my page. I am a holistic practitioner and advanced nurse practitioner. I qualified as a nurse in 2002, with my career spanning the areas of neurology, critical care and acute medicine. I live in Bristol with my husband, and trip hazard of a dog Basil.

My passion for holistic wellbeing has evolved over 20 years and I now combine my love for all thing healthwith helping clients feel balanced, grounded and the best version of themselves.

It was always a wish of mine to practice holistic therapies.  Having spent my entire career working with the medical model I now strongly feel that medicine is not always the answer to a healthy life.  This shift occurred during the Covid 19 pandemic and I asked myself the question what am I waiting for?

I now find myself in the inspired position of combining my medical experience with the holistic treatments I love and believe in.  Clients have come to me to help deal with stress, anxiety, insomnia and chronic pain.  As well as looking for the tools to deal with stressful situations such as exams and major life events.

I am a level 2 Reiki practitioner and qualified in Indian Head Massage ~ having trained at the Cotswold Academy in Cirencester. I am also currently studying for a diploma in aromatherapy and massage.

I practice at Bath Holistic Massage, One Queen’s Square Place, Bath BA1 2LL.  I also offer group treatments to work places as part of wellbeing programs.

Please get in touch too if you have an upcoming event where you would like to devote some time to holistic wellness. I would love to hear from you!

Gayle has had a lifelong passion for complementary therapies. From a young age, she was fascinated by the power of holistic wellbeing and enjoyed learning about and experiencing the benefits of different therapies. This early exposure sparked her imagination and desire to someday train as a therapist herself.

Over the years, she received treatments from skilled therapists and gathered knowledge, and Gayle has since fulfilled her dream of becoming a certified reflexologist and clinical aromatherapist, training with the Cotswold Academy. She felt drawn to these modalities in particular because of the way they harness the healing properties of touch and natural plant extracts. A wonderful reminder that small holistic practices can have a big impact on health and quality of life.

She wishes to share her passion for whole-person wellbeing and she firmly believes in the body's innate capacity to heal itself when supported with the right therapies.

About Lisa:

After 15 years of working in film and television in London, I witnessed firsthand the negative effects of stress on the mind and body.

During this time, I discovered reflexology as a client, using it as a means of stress relief from my job. I found it to be a deeply relaxing experience and was intrigued as to why something so simple could have such a profound effect.

After moving away from London to raise our children and be with family here in the Cotswolds, I decided to retrain as a certified reflexologist. I have done this whilst also working alongside the NHS as a healthcare assistant in Minor Injury Units throughout Gloucestershire and also within the vaccination programme as a Vaccinator and Pharmacy Assistant with The Royal United Hospital, Bath.

I understand the importance of holistic self-care, and my aim is to provide healing and restorative reflexology to help you feel your best moving forward.

I am a fully insured and registered member of The Association of Reflexologists (AoR).

Sarah Craig Beauty Therapist, Aromatherapist and remedial Sports Massage Therapist

Call or text Sarah: 07912 746 332

Treatments held in Melksham, Wiltshire

Therapies Offered:

Beauty treatments, Aromatherapy and Remedial Sports Massage

About Sarah:

Sarah qualified as a Beauty Therapist and Aromatherapist in 1995, having successfully passed her ITEC qualification at Langley College.  Since passing her exams, Sarah has worked for well-known cosmetic companies, as a Senior Therapist, providing treatments to clients to enhance well-being, skin care and relaxation.

With the aromatherapy, Sarah works within care homes around the country, to offer and provide holistic treatments, using essentials oils and Sports massage techniques, for residents in the care home in assisted living and those living with dementia.

The treatments provide a wonderful sense of well-being and relaxation, reduce agitation, as well as stimulating the olfactory senses to promote memories. With this treatment, dementia clients have been seen to go from a state of restlessness and confusion to a calm happy state of mind, on completion of treatment.  The gentle touch and feeling of the aromatherapy and oils, promote a calming sensation, whilst improving swelling or tiredness.  These powerful oils can also alleviate skin conditions and promote healing.

Sarah is also a qualified level 3 Sports Massage (ITEC) assisting clients who have injuries to joints or muscles, because of repetitive use, or sports injuries.  This hands-on treatment works well with clients and promotes gentle movement, while reducing stiffness in joints and muscles and can be used to heal an injury and get movement back but can also assist with clients who have chronic conditions or ongoing problems with postural issues, joint stiffness and loss of strength.  Sports massage can be applied in addition to clients receiving physio, as these treatments work together to provide an improved outcome for the client.  Sarah often combines the aromatherapy and sports massage to offer a deeper relief to clients suffering pain, allowing the hands-on techniques and oils to work their magic.

Sarah has lived in Wiltshire for the past five years with her husband, daughter and their dog Yogi, where they enjoy walks, have joined a local Archery club and keeps fit with kettle weights.  Sarah also has had training through the care homes in how to understand more about people living with anxiety or dementia, so that when she provides treatment, she can put them at ease.  This topic is close to Sarah's heart, and she became involved with care homes as a result of her mother living with Alzheimer's.  Bringing that relief to clients in pain, or clients feeling lost and alone, is positively the best feeling in the world.  I wish I could reach everyone who needs this!
