Pre-Event Massage Routine

Pre-event massage is a short, specific treatment given immediately before a sports event. The goal being to increase circulation, flexibility and mental clarity; improving conditioning and mental clarity to optimise performance. Techniques include:

  • Effleurage
  • Kneading
  • Ironing
  • Wringing
  • Hacking
  • Plucking
  • Cupping
  • Pounding
  • Shaking/Vibration



Post-Event Massage Routine

Post-event massage works to alleviate any joint stiffness and delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). The benefits include:

  • Flush out toxins and lactic acid
  • Return the muscles to a relaxed state
  • Reduce next day soreness
  • Reduce any swelling and promote faster healing
  • Help athletes relax and with their cool down routine
