How much pre-learning should I do before our classroom days?

It's a question that we get asked a lot - how much time do I need to complete the pre-learning for my course?

In a nutshell, the answer can vary for each and every person; your lifestyle, your learning style and work-family-life balance all play a part.

The aim for the pre-learning is to start to familiarise yourself with the subject and set the scene for your contact classroom days. Embedding yourself in the language of this new topic and starting to practice techniques makes the practical days that much easier.

What if there isn't time ahead of the classroom days?

There are of course some times when there just isn't time and in these circumstances we would always suggest touching base with us and we can help work out a plan for the time you do have and point you towards the most valuable topics to cover.

Do you need to memorise everything?

The pre-learning is all about familiarising yourself with this new subject. Much of the content will be revisited on the contact days and you have lifetime access to the course materials so there is no pressure on the pre-learning, its all about introducing this brand new subject and beginning a learning journey at a pace that allows you to enjoy fully immersing yourself in your new passion!

Do we track your progress on your dashboard?

This is one we get asked a lot and we can reassure you that we do not track your progress :) The online quizzes within your dashboard are purely for you to track your own progress.

Here Chris introduces the student dashboard and how to start working out a plan for how much time you may need to dedicate to the pre-learning for your diploma course.
