Tension in the neck and shoulders has to be one of the most common client complaints that we all see in clinic. Your clients may be returning to you complaining of localised pain in their shoulders or referral pain causing headaches and pain behind their eyes. Posturally they will most likely present with rounded shoulders.

Now our recent work with massage with movement has shared some techniques to breaking with routine to really affect change for our clients. Trigger point massage is the next step into bringing about real change for our clients. Trigger point enables you to locate the knots and sensitive areas, understand the anatomy at play and bring about relief that lasts and frees the client from any referred pain and discomfort longer term.

Trigger point therapy can be exceptionally effective at relieving localised and referral pain caused by trigger points pressing on nerves. Here we look at techniques for unlocking trigger points in the neck and shoulders using trigger point massage.
