This masterclass is designed for working therapists wishing to revisit or further develop their understanding and massage techniques when working with the lower back and pelvis. 

 

Sports Therapists

Whats covered on the day:

  • Revisit Postural assessment (ROM)
  • Assessment Special Tests (Level 4 students only) for the lower back and pelvis
  • Palpation skills to find bony landmarks and muscles in this area
  • Understanding the gluteal muscle group and common conditions such as piriformis syndrome
  • Understanding the relationship between lower back muscles and glutes
  • Developing new massage techniques

Massage Therapists

Whats covered on the day:

  • Finding the bony landmarks in this area and understanding the muscle groups
  • Understanding the gluteal muscle group and common conditions such as piriformis syndrome
  • Identifying overused muscles and helping your client to understand how to correct their posture
  • Develop new massage techniques
