This two day hands on masterclass is designed for working therapists wishing to revisit and further develop their understanding and massage techniques when working with the lower back, pelvis and neck and shoulders. These are problem areas for lots of clients, so it’s essential we understand the relationships of muscles in these areas.

This detailed 2 day course is designed for the sports massage practitioners, sports therapists, remedial instructors, coaches and those working in the sports industry.  This course will teach the safe and effective application of a number of taping techniques to cover joint stability of all the major joints. Techniques taught can be used for practitioners that work in both clinic environments as well as in a sports team. The aim of this course is to enable learners to gain the practical and theoretical skills necessary to provide taping and strapping for the Sport and Leisure Industry.

  • Different taping products including zinc oxide and kinesiology tape

The foundation of the Level 3 is your understanding of how the body functions and heals itself. You will learn your Anatomy & Physiology (Unit 451) prior to the class contact days (via e-learning) about the body cells, skin, skeletal, muscular, vascular, lymphatic, nervous, endocrine, digestive, respiratory and urinary systems. 

When you start class attendance you will learn postural assessment, range of movement tests and developing your basic massage hand skills as well as myofascial release techniques/deep friction. The On-Site Massage, or chair massage, or seated acupressure massage,  is a twenty minute massage that is given through the client`s clothes, with the client seated on a massage chair, or at their desk. The massage can be given at the client`s workplace, hence the “On-Site” name.

The pregnancy massage training day will enable students to further their massage techniques, perform massage techniques on pregnant women, and enable them to gain specialist insurance.
