Hot stone therapy is an advanced therapeutic massage technique using the applications of thermotherapy & cryotherapy. This involves the use of heated volcanic basalt stones and cold marble stones.

This extremely popular therapy originates from ancient Native American traditions. Whilst hot stone treatment provides deep relaxation, positivity, balance & healing for our clients it also helps to maintain a healthy therapist, preventing strain, wear & tear on the therapists joints/ muscles.

One full hot stone body treatment is the equivalent to 3 body massages. You can adapt and add to your skills to provide a 'truely wonderful' therapy.

Day 1

* Practical demonstration

* Care of equipment, tools, stones, crystals
* Costs/ insurance

Additional information:

Each student will be required to purchase a set of 52 basalt hot stones and a large heater along with an accessories kit, the Academy will inform you upon enrolment who we recommend to purchase these items from.

This certificate is accredited with BABTAC (The British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology) www.babtac.org

Please note to gain this Certificate you will be required to attend a practical and theoretical assessment. Date will be arranged during the Sunday of the course. After the training you will be asked to complete a few hot stones treatments and write them up before your assessment.
