Threading Hair Removal - BABTAC Certificate

This treatment is a great 'add-on' for therapists. The course is accredited by BABTAC from where you will be able to apply for membership and insurance.

The course will cover related theory and then instruction on 3 methods of threading (self method, asian method and arabian method).

By the end of this course you will be able to:

- Show an understanding of the history of threading
- Explain the advantages, disadvantages and benefits of threading
- List the factors that affect hair growth, the types of hair growth and reasons for hair growth
- Recognise abnormal hair growth and possible causes
- Recognise how stress affects hair growth
- Explain the structure of the hair and follicle
- Discuss the three stages of hair growth
- List contra-indications to treatment
- Consult with client, giving advice and recommendations
- Recognise different face and eyebrow shapes
- Show an understanding/perform facial threading
- Perform an eyebrow tidy/re-shape with thread using one of three learnt techniques
- Give appropriate homecare and aftercare advice

Course duration:    This is a 1 day course from 10am - 4.30pm
