Upon successful completion, this qualification allows the student to practice as a professional sports and remedial massage therapist, and gain the necessary insurance. A number of associations under the BCMA accept the qualification.

Sports massage techniques, including:
- Deep tissue massage
- Soft tissue release
- Muscle energy technique
- Neuromuscular technique
- Connective tissue massage
Injury prevention and rehabilitation, including:
- Acute, post-acute injury
- Injury rehabilitation
- Common injuries and causes
- Remedial exercise
Sport and exercise physiology, including:
- Neuromuscular system
- Cardio respiratory system
- Joint assessment
- Nutrition
- Training
- Professional ethics & Health & Safety
Assessment: Case studies, assignments, a presentation and a final exam are required to complete this course.
