Terms and Conditions of Payment
· A non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of 10% of total course fee is required upon enrolment for any ITEC course. Workshops and other courses state if pre-payment is required. Outstanding courses balance is due 14 days prior to course commencement date. Unless otherwise agreed by the Cotswold Academy. . Please note that deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances other than serious illness preventing courses attendance. . Written notification is required a minimum of 14 (fourteen) days prior to commencement of the course the student has enrolled onto if they wish to cancel their place to avoid being invoiced for the full amount. . A fee of £25.00 will be charged for returned cheques. In the event of a student failing to attend the confirmed course or complete the course for any reason (For example: personal problems, illness, change of mind, relocation, change in personal circumstances) no refunds of fees or deposits will be made and no entitlement to a later-date course will be gained. · Financing is available for some courses; please contact ‘The Cotswold Academy’ office for details. · ‘The Cotswold Academy’ will not be held responsible for any losses incurred through cancellation or postponement of any courses.
Rules and Regulations
· Paying for and/or attending a course do not guarantee a qualification, diploma or certificate of achievement. These are gained by successful completion of the course assignments, assessments and examinations. It is the decision of the awarding bodies to qualify a student. · Students must at all times maintain their own personal hygiene, as body contact on courses of this nature is essential. · All students must wear clean uniforms and shoes during ‘The Cotswold Academy’ hours. · Only flat black shoes are allowed for beauty & complementary therapy students Sports students are permitted to wear plain white trainers. · At all times whilst in ‘The Cotswold Academy’ students are not allowed to smoke, students wishing to smoke at break times must change out of their uniforms or cover them. No smoking is allowed in the toilets. Students smelling of cigarettes will be asked to leave lessons to ‘freshen up’. · Hair should be worn away from the face and tied back if necessary. · Nails should be short, clean and neat. · No jewellery to be worn during practical classes and only minimum jewellery is allowed in theory sessions (small ear-rings & wedding rings and no visible body piercing). · Beauty Therapy students should wear make-up at all times. · No drinks or food to be consumed in the classrooms. A kitchen area and common room is available. · Mobile phones are not allowed in lessons or switched on at any time during teaching hours (unless in an emergency). · Any student not complying with ‘The Cotswold Academy’ rules and regulations will be given two verbal and one written warning, before being asked to leave the course. · Any student found deliberately damaging any property belonging to ‘The Cotswold Academy’ or any student found stealing would be instantly dismissed with no written or verbal warning. · Any student caught ‘using’, in possession of or attempting to sell drugs/illegal substances of any kind, or under suspicion of doing so by the Police, whether in ‘The Cotswold Academy’ or out of ‘The Cotswold Academy’ will be immediately expelled with no refund of fees. · It is of utmost importance that the students of ‘The Cotswold Academy’ at all times behave in an adult and professional manner. · Examination regulations state 80% of the course needs to be attended for the examination to take place. · Absences in access of this will mean that the student will have to take examinations later. The Tutors will, of course help in cases of illness provided a Doctor’s note is received. · · No student may miss a lecture without prior permission from the Principal or in her absence the Tutor. · No eating or chewing in class is allowed i.e. chewing gum! · All students must contact ‘The Cotswold Academy’ by 9.15am either in writing or by telephone if they are to be absent. · The Principal reserves the right to terminate the training of the students who fail to comply with ‘The Cotswold Academy’ regulations or where the student is found to be academically unsuitable. · Due to the frequent advances, which occur in science and science cosmetology, it is reasonable to expect changes to the syllabus are necessary from time to time. · The Principal reserves the right to add to/or amend the syllabus without prior notice and to alter ‘The Cotswold Academy’ hours during the day; an occasional evening class may be added. · The parents or legal guardians of prospective students under eighteen years of age must accept responsibility for tuition fees, general behaviour and discipline of that person.
